At Horoeka House we have another selection of interesting silicone craft molds new into the store today.

We have two beautiful orchid silicone molds, a sweet Phalaenopsis Orchid, and a elegant Cymbidium Orchid. Orchids are always a popular flower for cake decorating and these two new styles are a welcome addition to our existing orchid fondant flower tool collection.

Peonies are another favorite flower for cake decorators and we have a new Peony flower design with the added bonus of a separated leaf included on the mold. Of course, silicone molds also work very well with polymer and metallic craft clays and this new mold would make a stunning decoration for the top of a jewelry box or book cover.

In keeping with yesterday’s theme of classical relief molds, we have a new stylized Acanthus leaf embellishment to create elegant relief to the side of a cake or picture frame.

Also new instore is a cute decorative button-shaped mold with four different design cavities. The possibilities for use are limitless and this mold would make a wonderful addition to your craft supply stash.

Last but certainly not least, for all the Steampunk enthusiasts we have a new small watch parts silicone mold to add to our current steampunk silicone mold collection. This mold would also be perfect for grunge designs and mixed media artwork projects.

We have a new Cross Pendant Silicone Craft Mold instore just in time for Easter. Whether you wish to decorate a special Easter cake with marzipan or fondant or wish to make a personal gift out of resin or polymer clay this new mold is a great addition to your supply stash.

We also have some long-awaited new additions to our Decorative Embellishment section. These Classical and Baroque style relief silicone molds not only make elegant cake decorations they are also perfect for a wide range of non-edible craft projects such as picture frame, box or furniture embellishment, mixed media art projects, decorating outdoor plant pots, card and scrapbook trinkets and anything else your imagination can dream up. The most important thing to remember when choosing a medium to use in the molds is to keep all food preparation and non-food molds separate, and never use a mold for an edible project that has been pervious used for a non-edible craft project. Most silicone molds are suitable for resin, polymer clay, modeling medium, plaster, or depending on their size even concrete. When using low relief or thin molds, consider using more liquid or flexible mediums to help prevent fine details from breaking when de-molding and during placement.
