What Is Personal Information
“Personal Information” means the same as it does in the Privacy Act 1993. In general terms, this includes any information that can be used to personally identify you. This may include (but is not limited to) your name, age, gender, address, contact details (including phone numbers and email addresses) and possibly financial information, including your payment information. If the information we collect personally identifies you, or you are reasonably identifiable from it, then the information is considered personal information.
Why Do We Collect Personal Information?
We collect and use your personal information to provide, administer, improve and personalise your experience with Horokea House Limited and our products and services, to run competitions, conduct surveys, process payments and refunds, maintain and update our records, or verify your identity. We may not be able to do these things without your personal information, such as deliver your online orders or respond to your enquiries.

Horoeka House Ltd utilises a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. All user contact information is contained behind a firewall and only accessible by a limited number of employees who have special access rights. As an added safeguard, Horoeka House does not gather or store credit card information.
We take website security extremely seriously and always endeavour to provide a secure, safe platform from which to conduct online transactions. Media

How Long Do We Retain Your Data

How Can You Complain About A Breach Of Privacy?

We have a formal procedure for investigating and dealing with complaints. Once the Privacy Investigator receives a complaint in writing the Privacy Investigator will commence an investigation with the relevant business unit from which the alleged breach stemmed. The investigator will endeavour to determine the nature of the breach and how it occurred.
We may contact you during the process to seek any further clarification if necessary. If a breach is found, the Privacy Officer will escalate the matter to management so that the process can be rectified to prevent any further breaches from taking place. We will also contact you to inform you of the outcome of the investigation. We will endeavour to resolve all investigations within a reasonable time.
